Denton County Wins

Wins for Denton County Citizens Defending Freedom

  • We are recruiting prayer warriors to go to every School Board and City Council meeting in Denton County to pray. Donna Smith, our Education Lead, is reaching out to area churches to recruit intercessors to pray in their local areas. We will soon have a Prayer Guide to help the people pray.
  • Our team has taught nine Biblical Citizenship classes over the last year.
  • Distributed “In God We Trust signs” to several local private and public schools in Denton County.
  • With the help of a local church and Patriot Mobile, we were able to register over 250 voters for last November’s election.  Eight Denton County Citizens Defending Freedom leaders worked on Election Day as judges and clerks. We will continue to register people at Gateway and other churches.
  • Several in the Denton County Sheriff’s Office shared that they were in need of a raise for their department. They were losing good people because of this. We were able to relay that to the Commissioners and they got a 14% raise for this year and will get another 14% raise next year. Sheriff Murphree shared their employment is up by 16%.
  • After witnessing and then experiencing for ourselves a local school board interrupting and being disrespectful to parents and other concerned citizens when providing their input, we had our legal team contact the school board and demand that they cease bullying parents and citizens for exercising their 1st Amendment rights or face possible further legal action. It seems to have worked.
  • We were able to uncover and help publicize three local school board trustees who were conspiring to minimize community input on certain policy matters.
  • We identified a candidate running for a local office who had past circumstances that disqualified them from running. Through our Matthew 18 approach, we were able to reach out and let them know what we found that disqualified them from running for office. The candidate thanked us for bringing it to their attention and withdrew their application for the position.
  • We have spoken at school board meetings in opposition to sexually explicit books in our school libraries, transgenders in opposite sex bathrooms, and have also addressed the falling grades and inadequate education that students are getting, the lack of teacher retention, violence in the schools, and many other issues. We are also addressing medical clinics that are opening up on school property to treat only Medicaid, CHIP and non-unsured. The potential of treatment without parental permission is great.
  • We went to Austin to speak in favor of HB 900, SB14, and SB12. These bills passed and we are now working to enforce them.
  • We are also keeping up with other bills and informing our members on how to let their voices be heard.
  • Denton County is combatting the misuse of Title IX in our schools. There is a Citizens Defending Freedom initiative to inform every school district of the truth about Title IX and give them the tools to fight against the woke agendas. We started sending out the information to our schools on Monday, April 11, 2023. Click the link below to see what all this entails.      TITLE IX INFORMATION
  • With the help of our own volunteers and through partnerships with several other grassroots groups, we were able to stop two ‘kid-friendly’ drag queen shows in Denton County.
  • We fought for a family in Denton ISD whose daughter was beaten up on a school bus by four students which landed her in the hospital. Through legal and media means, we were able to get the perpetrator out of her classroom. See Epoch Times
  • We offered a Stand Up and Speak Up class to teach our citizens how to address School Boards and City Council members effectively and with confidence.
  • We were able to gather data from Denton County volunteers who saw irregularities in our voting system and sent the information to our CDF state attorney. We are working to show the major issues with our voting machines throughout the state of Texas and we are pushing for hand ballots and hand counting for more accurate and safe elections.
  • With the permission of CDF and the help of LTC Allen West, we have established relationships on the Texas border with Sheriff Coe. This will open the door for Denton County CDF, as well as other CDF counties to go and help with the busy work that keeps the sheriffs from their work along the border.
  • Denton ISD pulled all of the Bibles from their school library shelves. Our legal team sent a letter, and the Bibles were quickly returned.
