Florida School District Severs Ties with LGBTQ Youth Organization

Duval County, FL – For over 20 years, Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) has had a working relationship with a local LGBTQ youth organization, the Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network (JASMYN). Recently, after multiple reports of inappropriate conduct and social media posts containing lewd and sexualized content aimed at youths, DCPS has severed ties with JASMYN. The decision for DCPS to end their long-term partnership with JASMYN is ultimately due to the combined efforts of Duval County Citizens Defending Freedom (CCDF-Duval) and concerned members of the community who alerted the district and urged them to protect children and sever ties.

JASMYN has since scrubbed their social media accounts of all posts, pictures, and videos of their highly inappropriate youth activities, however, as most of the world knows: “the internet is forever.” The Florida Standard recently published an article containing many of JASMYN’s deleted social media posts that can be viewed here. Please be aware, these posts contain mature content and are not suitable for children or sensitive viewers. Additionally, Epoch Times recently highlighted JASMYN and their activities in Jacksonville and reached out to CCDF-USA staff who were involved in bringing the issue to light. That story can be viewed here
